I Will Rise ~ By Ikenna Ozulumba Mbaegbu

I will rise
And  raise dust
If I have to,
I shall climb mountains,
If I have to,
And I will rise,
I will still pick up
My broken self
And start walking,
Walking again and again,
Even if I fall 10 times
Or stumble I 100 times
I will still rise!
Never shall I give up this race,
So important, freedom of my race.

This task entrusted onto me
Shall always be
My very commitment
Shall get it up and running
Time, pretty much running.

Would you care to know why?
Because am a Biafran,
Yes am a true Biafran!
Failure, not an option.

Am a soldier
And My Pen
Is my gun
And my pain
I Must contain
Always shall play civil
To fight off this evil
In our very own den.

Am a lover
And I love my country Biafra
Her freedom
A necessity
Her freedom
My utmost priority,
So help me Providence
To achieve this.

Amen!
