Apple is now a $1 trillion company

The stock gained 2.92 percent during trading to close at $207.39.
It first reached the trillion-dollar milestone just before noon ET.

Apple hit a market cap of $1 trillion on Thursday — and hung onto the record valuation at market close — as the iPhone maker became the first publicly traded U.S. company to reach $1 trillion.

The stock gained 2.92 percent during trading after a strong fiscal third-quarter earnings report earlier this week to close at $207.39. It reached the trillion-dollar milestone just before noon ET with a share price of $207.05, based on a recently adjusted outstanding share count of 4,829,926,000 shares.

Investors had previously been looking for a share price of $203.45 to push Apple across the finish line in the race to $1 trillion, but the company's hefty stock buybacks moved the threshold higher Wednesday.

"I think it just speaks to just how powerful the Apple ecosystem has become over the last few decades," GBH Insights analyst Dan Ives told CNBC after the historic market move. "This is not the end, that they hit $1 trillion. I view this as just kind of speaking to a new stage of growth and profitability."

Ives credited the company's growing software and services revenuewith driving the valuation. The catch-all category — which includes the App Store, AppleCare, Apple Pay, iTunes and cloud services — posted record revenue of $9.55 billion for the June quarter.

"It just speaks to the vision that [co-founder Steve Jobs] and now [CEO Tim Cook] have had in making sure Apple isn't just a hardware company," Ives said.

Amazon had also been approaching the threshold, surpassing $900 billion in market value in July. Apple had quite the head start, though, hitting $900 billion in November.

Many on Wall Street noted earlier this week that Apple was firmly on the path to $1 trillion. Aswath Damodaran, professor of finance at New York University's Stern School of Business and the so-called dean of valuation, said the stock is still cheap even at $1 trillion.

As of Thursday's close, Apple had gained 22 percent in 2018 and more than 30 percent in the last 12 months.

By 2050 humans will attend own funerals as robots – futurologist

On top of planning your pension and future financial security, now’s the time to put money aside for downloading your brain data, according to a leading futurologist who says we’ll be attending our own funerals as robots by 2050.
Dr Ian Pearson, who has a self-proclaimed 85 percent accuracy record when looking 10 to 15 years ahead, says humans will one day (and in the not too distant future) hook their minds up to external machines while alive to boost intelligence, improve memory and sensory capacity.

External IT capabilities mean the technology can connect to your brain seamlessly so it feels exactly the same, says Pearson. Furthermore, the scientist says that when you physically die, almost all of your brain will still be functioning... as a machine.
“By around 2050, 99 percent of your mind is running on external IT rather than in the meat-ware in your head," claimed Pearson in his blog, Futerizon.
When your human body eventually gives into inevitable fatal deterioration, Pearson says “assuming you saved enough and prepared well” you can simply transfer your brain data to an android: “attend your funeral, and then carry on as before, still you, just with a younger, highly upgraded body.”
"Some people may need to wait until 2060 or later until android price falls enough for them to afford one,” he says. “In principle, you can swap bodies as often as you like, because your mind is resident elsewhere, the android is just a temporary front end, just transport for sensors.”

However, as humans have come to learn with personal data, the question as to who would own your proverbial brain after you’ve physically vacated the planet is an important one.
Like any fine print in a deal that feels too good to be true, Pearson explains that because the data will be stored on a cloud and not your personal server, it could be owned by Google, Facebook, Apple “or some future equivalent.”
So much like selling your soul to the devil, consumers will be tasked with selling their inner life’s work of knowledge and memories for a version of immortality: “You may in fact no longer own your mind.”

COMRADE EMMA POWERFUL MEDIA AND PUBLICITY SECRETARY FOR IPOB

 IPOB Writers

 Date :Jan.5th 2018

RADIO BIAFRA HAUSA

In keeping with our promise to facilitate  the creation of an unbiased informative platform to take the message of liberation to the down trodden and oppressed indigenous populations of Northern Nigeria, we the family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide and it’s indomitable leadership, wish to happily announce the official launch of the much anticipated IPOB sponsored Radio Nigeria Hausa Service. The maiden daily broadcast will hit the airwaves on Saturday the 6th of January 2018 at 7PMNigerian time on Short Wave 15110 KHz 19 Meter Band.

The broadcast will have the widest coverage of any radio signal in Africa. It will be received all over West,  East and Southern Africa. Every Hausa speaking community in Africa will be able to receive it. In our opinion, we feel it has become imperative to educate the poor masses of Northern Nigeria. The ruling class cleverly enslaved and impoverished ethnic populations of the North by keeping vital information and knowledge away from them. This information deficit is what Radio Nigeria Hausa Service has come to remedy.

All the hitherto hidden history of the conquest of indigenous Hausa speaking populations of the North will be laid bare for the world to know. More importantly, enslaved minorities of Arewa North, brutally savaged by Fulani terrorist herdsmen, through this unbiased platform, will acquire the necessary education needed to liberate them from the suffocating stranglehold of the caliphate born to rule class.

What we hope to demonstrate through the launch of this liberation radio station is to prove beyond every conceivable doubt that IPOB is not a selfish movement concerned only about the well-being of Biafrans, but are also genuinely concerned about the plight of all oppressed people in Nigeria as stated by our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on countless occasions. Regardless of ethnicity, religion or creed,  IPOB is pursuing an agenda of freedom for all. Our message is very simple, 2018 will be like no other in the history of Nigeria and will prove to be the year of liberation for those brave enough to confront the evil that Nigeria has become in the lives of millions of people.

Our quest for the total and adulterated liberation of Biafraland is unstoppable; this we shall demonstrate in the coming months. Those deluding themselves with the laughable and perverse notion that IPOB has been weakened because of the absence of our leader is in for an almighty shock. This move today is the beginning of a mass revolution against our oppressors that will spread outside the borders of Biafraland.

The coming of this new and revolutionary Radio Nigeria Hausa Service will expose centuries old dark secrets through education of the oppressed Hausa Fulani youths that IPOB and Biafra mean well for them contrary to the lies being peddled by their corrupt leadership. We will not fail to let all Northern youths understand that their political leaders, elders and fathers like those in Biafraland are the real oppressors that over the years have kept them in the dark through a carefully crafted and systematic regime of misinformation and propagation of falsehood. Every Hausa speaking Northerner is advised to tune into 15110 KHz every night at 7PM, starting from this Saturday 6 January 2018, to be educated in order to be liberated.

New Elon Musk project aims to connect human brains with AI, Donates $10mn to prevent human attack

Elon Musk AI artificial human project

The CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk, is backing a new company that seeks to explore the possibility of merging the human brain with artificial intelligence (AI) to help humans keep up with machines.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Musk has played an active role in launching the new a company called Neuralink, which seeks to create devices that can be implanted in the human brain.
The neuroscience startup is still in its infancy but aims to create cranial computers for treating diseases and, eventually, help humans merge with software, enabling mortals to keep pace with advancements in artificial intelligence.
Musk is on record as saying that AI poses a great threat to humanity.
The billionaire inventor recently told Vanity Fair that he believes the technology for "a meaningful partial-brain interface” is only "roughly four or five years away.”
The company plans to present a working prototype which will likely be a brain implant to help treat diseases like epilepsy, Parkinson's or depression.
Musk, who reportedly has an "active role" in the venture, has hinted at his interest in this area numerous times. He recently told a crowd in Dubai, “Over time I think we will probably see a closer merger of biological intelligence and digital intelligence.”
Neuralink is registered in California as a medical research company and has reportedly already hired several high-profile academics from the field of neuroscience.
Musk has repeatedly warned about the perils of artificial intelligence previously describing it as potentially the greatest threat to the existence to human life.
“You know those stories where there’s the guy with the pentagram, and the holy water, and he’s like — Yeah, he’s sure he can control the demon? Doesn’t work out,” he said at a symposium in October 2014.

The 44-year-old British man is actually the first person in the history to be cured of HIV! Scientists told The Sunday Times that presently the virus is completely undetectable in the man’s blood and if it remains that way it will be the first complete cure

A team assembled from five UK universities is currently conducting experiments on 50 people. “We are exploring the real possibility of curing HIV. This is a huge challenge and it’s still early days but the progress has been remarkable” said Mark Samuels, managing director of the National Institute for Health Research Office for Clinical Research Infrastructure

HIV is not that easy to treat because it targets the immune system, joining itself into the DNA of T-cells so that they not only ignore the disease, but turn into viral factories which reproduce the virus. Currently, anti-retroviral therapies can target active T-cells which are infected with HIV but they cannot treat dormant T-cells. This means that patient’s body continues to produce the virus.

The new therapy works in two stages. Firstly, a vaccine helps the body recognise the HIV-infected cells so it can clear them out. Secondly, a new drug called Vorinostat activates the dormant T-cells so they can be spotted by the immune system.
“This therapy is specifically designed to clear the body of all HIV viruses, including dormant ones,” Professor Sarah Fidler, a consultant physician at Imperial College London, told the Times.

By Julia Love and Alexandria Sage | SAN FRANCISCO

Apple Inc unveiled its new water and dust-resistant iPhone 7 with high-resolution cameras at its fall product event on Wednesday, and said a Super Mario game was coming to the new phone and Pokemon Go would feature on its upgraded Apple Watch.

The excitement at the Bill Graham auditorium in San Francisco was not matched on Wall Street as Apple's stock spent most of the session in negative territory before briefly showing small gains.

However, Nintendo Co Ltd's U.S.-listed shares jumped more than 20 percent to trade around $35 after it announced a new smartphone game in the venerable Super Mario Bros series, Super Mario Run, which will debut in December on the iPhone and iPad.

The world's best-known technology company said the iPhone 7, starting at $649, would have one, zooming 12-megapixel camera. The 'Plus' edition, starting at $769, would feature two cameras.

It also removed the analog headphone jack, as was widely expected. The new headphones supplied by Apple with the phone will plug into the same port as the recharging cord, but it will also work with Apple's new wireless headphones, called Air Pods, available in late October at a price of $159.

The new phone will start shipping in major markets, including the United States and China, on Sept. 16.

“While the camera improvements for the iPhone 7 Plus are nice, they are incremental for most and the lack of headphone jacks could offset that for others," said Bob O'Donnell of research firm TECHnalysis.

He said Apple's new glossy black finish could be more popular than any tech feature, reflecting the slowdown in major tech innovations for smartphones.

Mike Binger, senior portfolio manager at Gradient Investments LLC in Minneapolis, said the disappearance of the headphone jack “will probably annoy a certain amount of people” but they would likely get over it.

"Every other release tends to be a better release. Most people’s two-year contracts are nearing the end, so I think the iPhone 7, just from a replacement basis, will be a successful launch," he said. “We’re in good shape for a nice sales cycle here, so I’m encouraged.”

Apple typically gives its main product, which accounts for more than half of its revenue, a big makeover every other year and the last major redesign was the iPhone 6 in 2014.

Apple said its Apple Watch Series 2, with a swim-proof casing, will be available in more than 25 countries starting on Sept. 16.

"I predict Watch sales will improve dramatically," said Tech analyst Patrick Moorhead. "Most of the current Watch owners are early adopters and the next wave could be 10 times the size of that market."

Apple also launched a new version of the device called the Apple Watch Nike+, in partnership with the athletic goods manufacturer Nike Inc, featuring GPS so athletes can track their runs.

Shares of Fitbit Inc, which makes activity-tracking bands, fell 2 percent on the emergence of such a high-profile competitor.

Iran is seriously mistrusted by Israel and America. North Korea protects its nuclear secrets and is ruled by an erratic, vicious man. Vladimir Putin’s territorial ambitions alarm democratic nations. The newest peril, Isis, the wild child of Islamists, has shocked the whole world. But top of this list should be Saudi Arabia – degenerate, malignant, pitiless, powerful and as dangerous as any of those listed above.

The state systematically transmits its sick form of Islam across the globe, instigates and funds hatreds, while crushing human freedoms and aspiration. But the West genuflects to its rulers. Last week Saudi Arabia was appointed chair of the UN Human Rights Council, a choice welcomed by Washington. Mark Toner, a spokesperson for the State Department, said: “We talk about human rights concerns with them. As to this leadership role, we hope that it is an occasion for them to look into human rights around the world and also within their own borders.”

The jaw simply drops. Saudi Arabia executes one person every two days. Ali Mohammed al-Nimr is soon to be beheaded then crucified for taking part in pro-democracy protests during the Arab Spring. He was a teenager then. Raif Badawi, a blogger who dared to call for democracy, was sentenced to 10 years and 1,000 lashes. Last week, 769 faithful Muslim believers were killed in Mecca where they had gone on the Hajj. Initially, the rulers said it was “God’s will” and then they blamed the dead. Mecca was once a place of simplicity and spirituality. Today the avaricious Saudis have bulldozed historical sites and turned it into the Las Vegas of Islam – with hotels, skyscrapers and malls to spend, spend, spend. The poor can no longer afford to go there. Numbers should be controlled to ensure safety – but that would be ruinous for profits. Ziauddin Sardar’s poignant book Mecca: The Sacred City, describes the desecration of Islam’s holiest site.

Even more seriously, the pernicious Saudi influence is spreading fast and freely. King Salman has offered to build 200 mosques in Germany for recently arrived refugees, many of whom are Muslims. He offered no money for resettlement or basic needs, but Wahhabi mosques, the Trojan horses of the secret Saudi crusade. Several Islamic schools are also sites of Wahhabism, now a global brand. It makes hearts and minds small and suspicious, turns Muslim against Muslim, and undermines modernists.

The late Laurent Murawiec, a French neocon, wrote this in 2002: “The Saudis are active at every level of the terror chain, from planners to financiers, from cadres to foot soldiers, from ideologists to cheerleaders.” Murawiec’s politics were odious, but his observations were spot on. Remember that most of the 9/11 killers were Saudi; so was the al-Qaeda hierarchy.

In the 14 years that have followed 9/11, the Saudis have become more aggressive, more determined to win the culture wars. They pour money into Islamist organisations and operations, promote punishing doctrines that subjugate women and children, and damn liberal values and democracy. They are pursuing a cruel bombing campaign in Yemen that has left thousands of civilians dead and many more in dire straits.

So, what does our ruling establishment do to stop the invisible hand of this Satan? Zilch. The Royal Family, successive governments, parliamentarians, a good number of institutions and people with clout collectively suck up to the Saudi ruling clan. I have not seen any incisive TV investigation of this regime. We know it is up to no good, but evidence is suppressed. Some writers have tried to break this conspiracy of obsequiousness. Craig Unger’s book, House of Bush, House of Saud was published in 2004. It established beyond reasonable doubt that Saudi Arabia was the nerve-centre of international terrorism. And that the Bush family was unduly close to the regime. Many of us believed the revelations were even more explosive than those by the journalists Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, who exposed the lies told by Richard Nixon.

This deadly enemy will not be cowed or stopped by Trident. Our leaders know what is going on. So what do they do? They pick on the small people. The Government’s Prevent programme now imposes a duty on educators to watch out for young “radicals” and nip them in the bud. Older dissenters, too. To date, 4,000 young Muslims have been referred for reprogramming. One was three years old. In May, a young Muslim schoolboy talked about “eco-terrorists” and was taken away to be interrogated about whether he supported Isis. Academics, lawyers, doctors and nurses are also expected to become the nation’s spies. Mohammed Umar Farooq, a student at Staffordshire University, was accused last week of being a terrorist because he was reading a book entitled Terrorism Studies in the library.

In the US, 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed was arrested because he took a home-made clock to school. (Richard Dawkins, these days a manic tweet preacher, questioned whether the clock was part of a “hoax” designed to get Mohamed arrested, before backtracking.) The West, it seems, is free only for some. And to be a Muslim is a crime.

Extremism is a serious problem. Westernised, liberal Muslims do try to influence feverish, hostile young Muslim minds, but we are largely powerless. Our leaders will not confront Saudi Arabia, the source of Islamist brainwashing and infection. They won’t because of oil and the profits made by arms sales. Political cowards and immoral profiteers are the traitors, the real threat to national security, patriotism and cohesion. How do they answer the charge?

A NEW study has warned Russia could invade Poland ‘overnight’ at any time and NATO forces must be prepared to respond.

The aggressive foreign policy of a resurgent Russia under president Vladimir Putin has countries in the region on high alert after they annexed Crimea from Ukraine.

The Atlantic think tank warns: “Even if Moscow currently has no immediate intent to challenge NATO directly, this may unexpectedly change overnight.”

It talked up the rapid speed of Russia’s military operations and warned Poland and its allies that they must be prepared and arm up as a deterrent.

The report even suggests potential targets to hit in Russia if required, including the Kaliningrad and the Metro infrastructure in Moscow.

It recommends more US missiles be shipped to the region, and urges Poland to find a way to stop ‘fighting age men’ quitting the country to find work abroad, and join their military instead.

Earlier this month, US president Barack Obama announced plans to deploy 1,000 troops to the east of Poland.

It is the biggest escalation of hostilities in the region between Russia and NATO states since the Cold War.

Ben Rhodes, the deputy US national security advisor, denied that the US was escalating tensions in the region.

He said: “What we are demonstrating is that if Russia continues this pattern of aggressive behaviour, there will be a response and there will be a greater presence in eastern Europe.”

Britain is one of the 28 NATO members and also decided to make deployments this month to the region.

500 troops will be stationed in Estonia and 150 in Poland, and a further 3,000 will be put on notice for immediate action in the region if activity increases.

chukwuemeka-ezeife

Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, former governor of Anambra State, in this interview, says for the unity of Nigeria not to be negotiable, there must be restructuring of the country. He also accuses President Muhammadu Buhari of pushing Ndigbo out of the country and also corrupting the constitution of Nigeria.

IS it true that the meeting in Owerri was for Rochas Okorocha to lobby Ndigbo against clamouring for restructuring of Nigeria?

I don’t know how Rochas will do that, to listen to anybody about something that will compromise the Igbo interest. In fact, the unity of Nigeria may be un-negotiable, but that is not the problem, the problem is do you want Nigeria as one or do you want the disintegration of Nigeria?

If the unity of Nigeria is not negotiable, then restructuring Nigeria cannot be negotiable because restructuring Nigeria is the only guarantee for the unity of Nigeria. What we have now is a unity government for a diverse people. Diverse in culture, including religion and many grounds. You must respect the pluralism of Nigeria.

Cultural diversity

If you have six federating units, then, you guarantee the survival of Nigeria in many ways. Cultural diversity is taken care of, economic feasibility is taken care of. Right now, we have 36 states, most of which are not feasible economically.
That is why we are borrowing money for salaries. Is it not a problem now; are we not borrowing money for salaries?

During the 2014 conference, another 18 states were proposed and the proposal was to improve the unity of Nigeria by respecting diverse groups who want to stay together on their own but within the federal government. If 36 states are said to be unfeasible, what about adding 18 more?

But with six geopolitical zones as federating units, you can even have 100 states, but they will not be called states. Any name you call them they can take, but you scale down seriously, they can be provincial government, they can be anything you call them, they may even be local governments.

Do you know that in this Nigeria, there is a state where a child must score 139 points in order to qualify to enter a secondary school, while from another state, you will have nine points?

Increased competition

For an Anambra child to go to federal college, he or she must score 139, that is the highest. But when you go round, some states are nine points, some two. This is very diverse and it is not even helping anybody. So, if you have geopolitical zones as federating units there will be increased competition. Within the zone, there will be fair standards. There will be increased pressure to score well or you will not qualify.

But once it is Nigeria, you will hear, how can you allow Igbo or the Anambra indigenes to fill the school and Sokoto will not come even if they don’t score anything? What kind of Nigeria are we running?

God created Nigeria and endowed resources on her, for unmatched greatness. I don’t know what country in this our world that is more favoured than Nigeria. Here, I can step out in the open naked; I will not die. But go to Europe and step out in the snow, you will quench in a short time. Look at resources, any plant that can grow anywhere in this world can grow in Nigeria. We have mineral resources in surplus, and when we talk about minerals, it is not just coal and crude oil, we are talking about gemstones, gold, silver, aqua marine, sapphire of highest quality, etc.

Then you come to human beings with expertise and knowledge, we are talking about many talents from many tribes. Over endowed, that is what Nigeria is and what have we done with it?

Anybody who thinks clearly will see this point that God appears to intend Nigeria to be big brother and rallying point for all blacks on earth. We are the largest concentration of blacks on earth. Therefore, with the resources we are given, and with the way we have escaped natural disasters like earthquakes, volcano, hurricanes, etc, we are supposed to develop into a super power. The role of Nigeria is to wipe out the shame of slavery from the face of every black man. That is our manifest destiny.

Apart from the unity of Ndigbo which other thing was discussed at the Owerri meeting?

We discussed the problem that the South East is facing in today’s Nigeria. The problem of hatred from Mr. President.

At the beginning, not everybody saw it. I saw it early enough and thinking it was a mistake and not a deliberate action, I started shouting. We have not been taken here, we have not been taken there, you have appointed 10 persons nobody from Southeast; you have appointed 20 people nobody is from Southeast, you have appointed 25, 30, 40 going further we have nobody, no soul from the Southeast.

Respect and dignity

So, I started knowing that it is beyond a mistake. I was thinking it was a mistake and since I believe that the person who is President must have conscience, I was raising his consciousness to the mistake so that he can correct it even the ones I tell you to write, you will find that everything I was saying is true. Instead of being taken seriously for amendment to be made, I was called enemy of the North and enemy of Buhari. So, these days, I am not talking too much again, I am talking about Nigeria.

Instead of making the black man to get more respect and dignity, we are generating shame for blacks on earth. We are generating shame for the blacks for whom we are supposed to be improving their respect and dignity.

Now you said Mr. President hates Ndigbo, how can the elders of Southeast organise Ndigbo to speak with one voice as it appears the people don’t speak with one voice?

I am not praising Ndigbo, but they are the most united group in Nigeria. Ndigbo have been out of central political power for more than half a century, yet, they can call one another, ”come” and they come. Do you know what it means to be not even Vice President and not to talk about being president? We have not had Vice President or president for so long, yet we are still united.

They called us to Owerri and we trooped there. I talk and some people understand me they didn’t say go to hell. There is no bad name they don’t give Ndigbo, they say when they hear money they will drop everything and go for the money, lie.

I remember one governor somewhere in the northern part of Nigeria, who told me he had found a people more greedy for money than Ndigbo. He said these people can deal with their mother in order to get money. We are so united that if you are called a bad name, every person knows the bad name you are called and they may even be avoiding you.

Our problem is not lack of unity, it is lack of opportunity.

Whether the present government can implement the 2014 Conference report.

It is a matter of whether the government is serious or not. That was the greatest assemblage of Nigerians of all types. From deformed people, disabled people to the latest intellects with experience to the highest level of traditional rulership.

We discussed difficult things where we did not always agree but we ended up getting a consensus. Some people who are in present control, those people who were controlling Nigeria then and now, they didn’t want any change.

They said to themselves, what are we going to change? Anything we change will be at our loss. But they are wrong and we proved to them that they were wrong.

Eventually, they agreed with us, no group walked out because each group saw it, a long-term interest is better inside one Nigeria than in a disintegrated Nigeria. No group walked out, everything was discussed and it was a matter of weighing the easier of two positions, disintegration or unity.

Unmatched greatness

Any group that intelligently looks at its interest in the long term, will find a united Nigeria more attractive than a disintegrated Nigeria.

Unfortunately, the people who had disagreed with the restructuring and things that will make Nigeria permanent are the people who will lose most by disintegration.

If you want Nigeria to be a Super Power and to develop to unmatched greatness, you want every section of Nigeria to make maximum contribution; therefore I end every letter I write to a Nigerian organisation or a Nigerian president with yours for Nigeria as a Super Power. I want Nigeria to be a Super Power; we cannot be super power if components of Nigeria are not making progress.

Now we are talking about some group wanting to leave Nigeria, which group, how does Nigeria gain by Southeast of Igbo leaving? Short sighted people may say ‘we will gain the property they are leaving behind.’

How did they manage to have those property they are leaving behind?

Look at Abuja, what percentage of the structures, buildings belong to Southeast people? Likewise in Kano, Kaduna, Calabar and Sokoto.

One man from Awka, Anambra State, I went to visit him in Awka and I was told that he has 300 modern houses in Kaduna and I have taken some space in Awka to build civil servants houses.

It happened that some part of the space belonged to him, he came to me and said ‘oga governor, you have taken my land’ and I said, ‘I am told you have 300 houses in Kaduna, what are you doing in this land in Awka, have you built anything? What I am saying is we should calculate our loses and our gains whichever decision we are taking.

Culture and tradition

Igbo people are not building everywhere for nothing, it is our culture and tradition. There is an Igbo adage which says, “Ebe onye bi ka ona awachi” (where you live, you mend). Essentially, where you live you build, where you live you take care of the interest of that place.

So, if you push the Igbo out of Nigeria like Buhari is doing, pushing Ndigbo hard to leave Nigeria and then he turns back to say that the unity of Nigeria is not negotiable, what kind of nonsense is that? You are pushing some parts of Nigeria out of Nigeria and you are turning around to extol the unity of Nigeria.

How is Buhari pushing Ndigbo out of Nigeria?

All these I have been saying ‘no de make wave in your ears at all? First, he swore the oath to protect and defend the constitution, he is not defending the constitution, he is not offering any job to people from the Southeast. That is called denial, he is corrupting the constitution through the appointments he is making and the best policy Buhari is known for is anti-corruption policy.

He is corrupting the policy he rolled out in many ways. One of these is unfairness in the distribution of jobs. As I am talking to you now, people sit in national security council of Nigeria, the Igbo are described as one of the third legs of the tripod in Nigeria, not one Igbo is in the national security council. You don’t kill people and expect them to be with you. The Nigerian Army massacred our people in Aba, they also massacred our people who carried the Bible to go and do memorial service in Onitsha area. Fulani herdsmen went and killed our people in Enugu.

Olisa Metuh was going to court handcuffed when people who have greater charges against them, were swaggering into the court. What are you telling his people? So, please, I am no longer interested in blaming Buhari, all I am interested now is asking Nigerians from all parts of the country to pray for Buhari because he is the President. May God give him the idea to change, may God direct him to the right path of Nigeria’s developmental governance. That is my prayer and I will appeal to everybody to forget criticising Buhari. We have seen that he doesn’t absorb criticism, so why do we keep calling him names if he doesn’t recognise what you are saying.

What do you think is responsible for the resurgence of militancy in the Niger Delta and the IPOB in Southeast?

The IPOB you mentioned has no militancy about it, they have a legitimate case they have even taken to the United Nations. If you go to the Niger Delta, the boys are saying, this oil which God located in our area, why are we not part of it? Why is 80 percent or more oil wells given to the North? Why are you negotiating with Boko Haram hoping to get money from the Niger Delta?

Even the one Yar’Adua negotiated with the people; you are not following it anymore. Why is the stock market in Nigeria losing value? Why is the Naira so down? Why is power not available in Nigeria?

Why is water not available in some places? Why are there difficulties everywhere? The more you have people suffering, miserable, the more you have militancy and insecurity. Why are graduates not employed? These are contributors to militancy and insecurity.

But President Buhari’s administration said it did not create it.

What was the value of the Naira to dollar when Jonathan was leaving? Tell me. It was about N197. What was the total value of stock market when Jonathan was leaving, how many people were suffering inability to buy anything in the market? What was the price of fuel when Jonathan was leaving?

I think people who refuse to face their problems cannot solve their problems. Jonathan, who left more than one year ago, is responsible for problems that arose. The president pronounced your country as bankrupt, what do you think other countries will say? They will run away. How many organisations have closed shop in Nigeria?

What is responsible for the economic recession Nigeria is facing today?

Our economic policy, our attitude to the economy generates negatives which are responsible for the misery the Nigerian people are going through today.

The only one thing you can now talk about is the collapse of oil prices because it reduces revenue. Nigeria has a problem, we do not respect intellect.

I proposed a solution to petroleum crisis to Obasanjo, I proposed to Yar’Adua but he was not quite alert when I was talking with him in his office. I proposed to Jonathan but the oil Mafia was so strong that if your proposal is against their interest, there is no chance of it seeing the light of the day. I made a proposal, the bottom line of it is to subsidise.

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to move against former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, over his inability to investigate the gruesome murder of Chief Bola Ige, a former Minister of Justice.

More than a decade after his death, his killers may not go unpunished, as President Buhari during the weekend, instructed the Acting Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris, to re-open investigation into the case.

Sources say the outcome of the investigation, might implicate Obasanjo, who refused to initiate a probe into the killing, which occurred during his tenure as President.

Ige, was shot dead in his bedroom in Bodija, Ibadan at about 9 pm on December 23, 2001, 30 minutes after arriving Ibadan from Lagos.

According to reports, his security details were alleged to have excused themselves to go and eat, before he was murdered, by yet to be known assassins.

After his death, accusing fingers were pointed at some politicians, who may not have been happy with Ige’s growing political profile. Some sources, also claimed that the cause of his assassination might have been connected with his impending probe of the massive corruption in the power sector, which Obasanjo was allegedly involved in.

Aside ordering investigation into Ige’s assassination case, President Buhari, also ordered that the murder of ex-Deputy National Chairman, South-South, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Aminosari Dokubo, who was assassinated near Asaba on October 22, 2004, be looked into.

The two assassinations, which happened during Obasanjo’s administration got Nigerians across political divides, calling for the government to fish out the killers.

However, it was gathered that the Acting IGP, has already instituted a high-powered investigative team to do all they can, to unravel the perpetrators of the unresolved murder cases.

Ige’s son, Architect Muyiwa Ige, who reacted to the development said, “I knew right from the advent of the administration of President Buhari, that the matter would be resurrected. The President is in the right direction. To God be the glory. It’s a new day; we are happy, we will get justice after 16 years.

“We are happy that all those who murdered our father, including the star witness, will be brought to justice. It’s good news”.

Russia's president Vladimir Putin is sending a warship packed with fighter jets to Syria in a bid to wipe out the Islamic State for good

The merciless Kremlin leader is dispatching the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier – along with 30 deadly jets and attack helicopters – to the war-ravaged region in a bid to wipe the death cult off the face of the earth.

Moscow’s decision came in the wake of ISIS’ latest terrorist atrocities in Bangladesh, which saw 20 hostages murdered in a restaurant in the capital Dhaka and 125 shoppers killed by a car bomb in Baghdad, Iraq.

The 55,000-tonne vessel will be deployed in Middle Eastern waters from October until January, according to Russian military sources.

Putin’s warship is expected to arrive in the Mediterranean this Autumn, where it will link up with land-based Russian forces already deployed in the region.

It will be carrying 15 Sukhoi Su-33 fighters and 15 MiG-29 warplanes, as well as 30 attack helicopters.

The ship’s arrival could ring the death knell for depraved ISIS, which is reportedly on the brink of collapse.

Iraqi forces last week recaptured the former militant stronghold of Fallujah, which was the first city to be taken by the extremists.

ISIS has apparently become increasingly paranoid after losing vast amounts of territory in 2016, slaughtering some of its own members amid fears they could be spies.

In a self-destructive tactic, the death cult have been dipping their own forces in acid in a desperate bid to deter people from leaking information to opposition forces.

The so-called caliphate is also said to have stolen blood and sold sex slaves on Facebook to make ends meet.

It is commendable that finally a move in the right direction is being made, I will love to use this opportunity to bring to your knowledge facts and reasons that will propel your visit. I have no option because Biafrans have made up their mind that it is either they are given Biafra or their lives are taken. Buhari has shown determination to take their lives and taking it in a significant number, gradually, 70 million Biafrans will finish and Buhari will have nobody to ask him Biafra. In Aba he took scores, in Onitsha he has taken dozens on different occasions.

In Enugu, he is on life taking mission, Portharcourt is the worst, Asaba is also not left behind. The worst aspect of this life taking mission on Biafra is the secret arrest and execution of Biafrans. One truth is 70 million might look impossible but Hitler started this way before 3 million Jews were decimated.

Biafra is a sovereign state that existed three years before it was forcefully re-annexed in 1969 to 1970 when the civil war ended. In the process of this annexation, Nigeria committed the most gruesome genocide on African soil that was concealed through the help of Britain, Britain in an effort to evade complicity in the act, they fought fervently and up till date, nobody was held to account or prosecuted for the murder of over 5 million Biafrans and sadly over 1.5 million children starved to death. This left a scar of conspiracy on Biafra, we today believe that the world is opposed to our existence.
After the civil war which was declared no victor’ no vanquish in an effort to furnish the ego of Biafrans who rather die than give up on anything they decide to embark on. I assure you that even today they have embarked on Biafra once more; you will kill all Biafrans to stop Biafra. The federal government of Nigeria refused to end the war, the difference between the civil war and the model of war federal government engaged afterwards is, guns talked in civil war but the war of today, gun is silent.

The war was narrowed down to marginalization, political subjugation, economic negligence, infrastructural battle and which left the people of Biafra dying in an effort to cross the Mediterranean Sea. The People of Biafra left their home to foreign land because our land became a conquered land and the government of Nigeria was only concerned about taking the spoils of war. Lifting crude oil at the detriment of the people and leaving the land in decay. Suffering and hardship and hunger became the order of the day, oil spill brought to an end the means of survival of the people of Biafra. Indeed Biafra land is a conquered land and used for the development of Nigeria.

There is no nationhood and it would be self-deceit saying that Nigeria is a country; Nigeria is divided already even though the unity is sustained with the blood of innocent people while politicians smile and say everything is alright. There is need to sincerely approach the call for self-determination and understand that referendum is the only way to show maturity and give humanitarian assistant before decimation of people is completed.

As you visit Buhari, it is pertinent to explicitly bring to your knowledge what is on ground to avoid being misled by the pages of Nigerian newspapers that failed integrity test. Niger Delta militants are not militants but freedom fighters. The youths in that part of Biafra took up arms as their only way of agitation and have solely asked for the restoration of Biafra. I will not digress further to remind you that their core demand is for the leader of Indigenous people of Biafra to be released and given Biafra.

Nigeria cannot stay together any longer and having accepted that fact, Buhari has promised to drown everybody instead of allow referendum, the barbarian statement must be averted as it is our collective responsibility to avert bloodshed on the soil of Africa and the world at large. Referendum has always been the solution to this kind of issue which is even epitomized by UK desire to leave. If strong EU can succumb to referendum for Uk, why must Buhari be bigger than international laws and obligations. We must not keep quiet and watch the people of Biafra come under genocide as it played out in 1967.

Buhari has failed completely to unite Nigeria even in the face of the renewed agitation for Biafra; he has helped Nigeria divide significantly by arresting and detaining the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra instead of engaging him in dialogue. He has also divisively made appointments which points to the direction that Biafra is not part of Nigeria; hence Biafra was not represented in his appointments so far. He has made policies that are anchored on hatred and self-serving and they have only shown to us that without Biafra, all hope will be lost and hence it became “Biafra or death”.

Finally, there is no effort that can make Nigeria stand with Biafra, the center cannot hold again and things fall apart. There is suspicion that giving Biafra fair treatment would inspire them to ask for Biafra hence she is marginalized and subjugated. Biafra has become a religion and the people are fanatical about it. Countless people have died and keep dying, countless locked up and still incarcerated, for how long shall it continue this way? There is no sign of prevarication on the side of Biafrans and even the military action against us has only motivated us. In the end, there is no option left but for referendum to be called and unanimous decision reached through that means.
