The federal government of Nigeria which started during the Nigerian-Biafran war of 1967-1970 to build the structure of 'divide and rule' in Biafraland has officially, on the 3rd of September, 2016 stated that Niger Delta is within Biafran territories.

This was made known through Vanguard as the spokesperson of the Federal Government of Nigeria, and in a bid to deceive and lure  the public into doubting the doggedness, intactness and uncompromising stand of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) over their agitation for the Sovereign State of Biafra.

Recall that the Movement for the Enslavement of the Niger Delta  (MEND) and Federal Government of Nigeria, through their spokesperson  (Vanguard), on August 15, 2016, announced frustrations over their inability to convince or force the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra  (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu to renounce Biafra. They lamented their failed attempts to quench the agitation for a Biafran state using a cheap blackmail having seen that Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB are totally committed to his struggle.

In their words,

“MEND and the Federal Government have, however, flatly rejected the IPOB/Kanu hypocrisy to remain defiant in public; while accepting to secretly renounce secession."

They went further to say that Niger Delta was not part of Biafra rather it's Biafrans(IPOB) that want to annex the region into Biafra.

"...public denunciation by Kanu was important so as not continue deceiving the gullible donors and followers sold to the illusion of a ‘Biafra Republic’ that aims to annex the Niger Delta region as part of its territory."

But now both MEND and the Federal Government have come to declare that Biafra actually owns Niger Delta. How?

In a bid to undermine and suppress the agitation for a Biafran state, Federal Government of Nigeria under Buhari, since it could not get Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB to renounce Biafra, ventured into strategies on how to make IPOB look disorganized before the public (international community).

Buhari went from 'The Reformed Indigenous People of Biafra'  (TRIPOB) and subsequently,  'Rebranded Indigenous People of Biafra'  (Re-IPOB) which claimed that they would burn the Biafran flag on October 1st; to the RenIPOB who will surrender to him in January 2017,  and that they have sacked Nnamdi Kanu as a leader of the group respectively.

Seeing that both imaginary groups failed on arrivals,  Buhari desperately merged the two groups and claimed that they would surrender to Federal Government of Nigeria on 15th January 2017.

Recall that MEND and FG had, in their previous frustration, accused IPOB of planning to annex Niger Delta but now they have named Charles Okah, an Ijaw man from the so-called Niger Delta region to be the Leader of the Biafra that would surrender to Nigerian government in 2017.

They named Dr. Dozie Ikedife, an Igbo man as the second in command which signifies that Igbos and Ijaws are one people.

Their spokesperson, Vanguard,  Reports:

"THE Re-branded Indigenous People of Biafra, TRIPOB, and Renegade Indigenous People of Biafra, RENIPOB, a breakaway faction from the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOP, have merged.

Rather than burn the Biafra flag as vowed earlier, both groups have decided to surrender to the Federal Government on January 15, 2017, while appointing Mr. Charles Okah, an Ijaw from the Niger Delta, as its leader, and Dr. Dozie Ikedife as deputy leader."

If Charles Okah, an Ijaw man, is made the president of the Biafran nation, and Dr. Dozie Ikedife his vice, does it not mean that Niger Delta is in Biafraland and someone from Ijaw land can preside over her(Biafra)? Because it's evident that a citizen of another country can not become a president of a country where he or she did not nationalize nor originate from.

Therefore, I congratulate President Muhamadu Buhari for taking such bold step of officially merging the Niger Delta and her sister region, Igbo into their country, Biafra.
