Your Assaults Can Never Stop Us From The Pursuit of Our Freedom - IPOB Tells FG

- IPOB maintains its stand on the path to freedom, vows Biafra or death

Biafrans gather to welcome Nnamdi Kanu in Onitsha

IPOB has told the Nigerian Government that its incessant assaults, unlawful detentions and killings of the Biafran people using its combined forces so as to quell IPOB agitation for freedom can never work.

IPOB maintains its stand on the path to freedom, vows that it is either freedom or its people die trying. Says it will do everything humanly possible to set its people free from the Nigerian evil captivity.

Recall that on Friday, August 17, 2018, some Biafran women, ranging from 38 - 70 years of age (mostly mothers and grandmothers) were arrested  while they embarked on a peaceful protest in Imo state, demanding the whereabouts of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, whose whereabouts have remained unknown since September 14, 2017 after the Nigerian army invaded his family home, at Afara Ukwu Ibeku, Umuahia.

Despite their old age, the women were arrested by the Nigerian police, under the instructions of the APC-led Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and detained under inhuman conditions.

Regarding this illegal detention of the IPOB women, the IPOB leadership on 23rd of August 2018, through its Media and Publicity Secretary Comrade Emma Powerful, in a press statement condemned the nefarious activities of FG and its janjaweed judicial system, especially of a matter that concerns IPOB.

According to Comrade Emma Powerful,

"What Owerri Magistrate Court displayed today and last week by remanding innocent mothers in prison is the height of judicial impunity, executive overreach and abuse of power by collaborators, both in Imo State and Abuja. Justice is no longer based on the merits of a case but on the wish of a governor or Aso Rock cabal.

"The level of ignorance of the law prevalent in the Nigerian judiciary is a far greater threat to democracy than gun-wielding Fulani terrorists. By allowing themselves to be used to remand our mothers in prison today and last Friday, without any legal backing, is tantamount to political suicide and judicial illegality.

"Why Detaining Our Mothers By The Nigerian Government Can Never Stop Us is because without our freedom, we do not really exist as a people, and we will do anything to restore what rightfully belongs to us" - IPOB stated.

Also recall, that before his unlawful detention, the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu had publicly declared to the whole world on the Radio Biafra London, the relentlessness of IPOB in its struggle to restore Biafra. Kanu said and I quote,

"Before we came, there were no people like us, and long after we are gone, there will be none like us."

Meanwhile, given to the current unrest, IPOB Writers had decided to conduct an interview on the streets of Onitsha and its environs, on the 24th, August 2018 so as to reveal how the masses feel over the misconducts of the Nigerian corrupt system and total marginalization of the Biafran people.

Here are the people's responses:

Afamefuna Okalla a trader in Onitsha and an IPOB member had this to say,

"We are the great people of Chiukwu Okike Abiama (God Almighty) who lives in heaven. We are the descendants of GAD, one of the sons of Jacob of Israel who migrated from the land of Israel to settle in Biafra Land, somewhere in West Africa, long, long time ago. We are IPOB and our land is richly blessed.  Because of the oil found in our land, The Nigerian government and its cohorts ganged up against us and massacred our people in the 1967-1970 Nigeria/Biafra civil war. However, the gospel about Biafra still prevails. Nothing can ever stop us from achieving our dreams because God is with us."

Another Biafran, Uchenna Okafor, a student of Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka also had this to say,

"You see, where I come from, we believe in reincarnation. During the Nigerian/Biafra civil war which took place in 1967-1970, our people were massacred in their millions, and many were even buried alive, and like a SEED, they have germinated and continued to propagate the gospel of God, which is Biafra. I am one of the reincarnated. I was killed in the war (because am the reincarnation of my uncle whom the war had claimed during the time) and now I am here to still carry the message of Biafra to the ends of the earth. We are unstoppable because Chiukwu Abiama has sent us. We are the product of the same INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA of the old and we have come back to life to continue to preach the gospel of the coming of  God's Kingdom on earth."

Another Biafran, Chibuike Ugwu who hails from Nsukka in Enugu State, Biafra land and who is also a businessman residing in Onitsha also said,

"The Nigerian government can molest us, subjugate, deny and lie against us, they can kill us, they can detain and rape our women, but we will never back down!"

Deeply aggrieved by the ill-treatment meted out on Biafrans by the Nigerian government, Mazi Ugwu went on to quote a statement made by Late Chukwu Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu,

“We are humans. We live. We fight, fight because the decision to be free is a decision taken freely and collectively because to become involved in violent struggle for freedom is the only honor left to an oppressed people threatened with genocide, because in the final analysis, the only true bulwark against death is to live. "

When asked to know his own take on the matter of IPOB struggle for Freedom, Obinna Okoye an IPOB member replied thus,

"Well, we only ask for our freedom which is our indigenous right, even "UN" and some other world powers can attest to that. We do not joke about our struggle to be free and as Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu once said and I quote,

FXChoice
“We do not play politics. We are not masochists; rather, we are people who choose to hunger a little to remain alive instead of feeding fat to become respectable corpses."..."We make no apologies for the social phenomenon known as the Biafran revolution; rather, we proclaim with pride the inevitability of our struggle, the indestructibility of our people, and the assured finality of our success. "

To cap it all, Obinna concluded by saying thus,

"The Nigerian government and its cohorts will always try to stop us (IPOB) but at the end, Biafra will emerge! And as Mazi Nnamdi Kanu once said,

"Biafra is the only justification that we have to exist on this very earth as humans."  Otherwise, we are not different from animals."

"Again, in the words of Ojukwu, ”Biafra is a child of circumstance. His existence and survival are always a marvel, sometimes bordering on a miracle. His life is a tribute to man, his courage is his endurance, his ingenuity is his humanity.

"Biafra is a spirit, it is an Ideology which can never be killed. It will come to be and there is absolutely nothing any human being can do about it! The Almighty God in heaven is our only strength and He has sanctioned this divine project. And When Biafra comes, we, His people will worship God in truth and in every honesty. We shall all rejoice and glorify the name of the Lord."
