Army brutalized Biafrans

It is unbelievable to read a report from Nigeria Defence Headquarters that “IPOB is a terrorist organisation”.

According to a statement titled “PUBLIC AWARENESS ON THE STATE OF INDEPENDENT PEOPLE OF BIAFRA” that was reported by Premium Times on Friday 15th September 2017, Nigerian sectional army said:

“1. The Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) group which has posed to be a security challenge in the Country, has been metamorphosing from one stage to the other. After due professional analysis and recent developments, it has become expedient, to notify the general public that; the claim by IPOB actors that the organization is non-violent is not true. Hence, the need to bring to public awareness the true and current state of IPOB. In this regard, some of their actions, clandestinely and actively, that has been terrorising the general public among others include;

a. The formation of a Biafra Secret Service.

b. Claimed formation of Biafra National Guard.

c. Unauthorised blocking of public access roads.

d. Extortion of money from innocent civilians at illegal roadblocks.

e. Militant possession and use of weapons (stones, Molotov cocktails, machetes and broken bottles among others) on a military patrol on 10 September 2017.

f. Physical confrontation of troops by Nnamdi Kanu and other IPOB actors at a checkpoint on 11 September 2017 and also attempts to snatch their rifles.

g. Attack by IPOB members, on a military checkpoint on 12 September 2017, at Isialangwa, where one IPOB actor attempted to snatch a female soldier’s rifle.

3. From the foregoing, the Armed Forces of Nigeria wishes to conform to the general public that IPOB from all intent, plan and purpose as analysed, is a militant terrorist organisation. Therefore, parents and particularly unsuspecting residents of the South East and other Nigerians should advise their wards to desist from joining the group.

4. The Defence Headquarters restates its commitment to handling all the security challenges in the Country and further assures all Nigerians of the protection of lives and property.”

The above statement is a big disgrace, an act of incompetence and unprofessionalism from the side of the sectional murderous Nigerian army.

First, Nigerian army wasn't referring to IPOB because IPOB is “Indigenous people of Biafra” and not “Independent people of Biafra”.

Let us assume they are referring to Indigenous people of Biafra, how come a group like IPOB which hasn't harmed even a fly is labelled “a terrorist organisation”? What has come over Nigerian Hausa-Fulani Army?

We have Fulani-herdsmen rampaging all over the city; killing innocent citizens, raping women and damaging people's farmlands and Nigerian army has kept mute only to raise her shoulder whenever IPOB or Igbos is mentioned.

This Murderous Hausa-Fulani military has killed civilians more than Bokoharam and ISIS terrorist groups, and they have maintained their colour and killings unabated.

The pogroms they committed from 1945, 1966, 1967-70, 2016 till date are not enough. Hausa-Fulani soldiers want to exterminate Biafrans from universal existence.

The current genocide going on in Biafra land is preventable but Buhari’s army chooses to commit mass murder of Biafrans. The video of the massacre is all over the Internet and social media, the army has killed defenceless citizens in Aba, Umuahia and its environs like chickens.

Codename ‘Operation Python Dance Part 2’ currently going on in the south-east was planned to ethnically cleanse Biafran youths from earth surface, it was a plot to provoke IPOB and term them “a terrorist organisation”.

This same army was reported giving terrorist Fulani-herdsmen protection while they were massacring Benue people. The report was captured on the presentation of Benue communities in the Nigerian army human rights investigation panel set up by the Nigerian government.

I sincerely commend IPOB members for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner, though there is a stage we must defend ourselves. Self-defence is a human right and must be activated by all means.

Nigerian army cannot be Federal High Court, Justice Binta Nyako of Abuja Federal High Court has confirmed IPOB as a legal organisation, there is no amount of army propaganda that can change it.

Sectional Hausa-Fulani Nigerian army can not use propaganda to run away from her shadow. There are much evidence implicating them in human right abuses and ethnic cleansing, many forensic graphics showing army's inhumanity to Biafrans have flooded the cyberspace.

Rushing to media to declare IPOB as “a terrorist organisation” is a very big joke taken so far. From Buhari the commander-in-chief to Buratai the chief of army staff, they are candidates of Hague. International criminal court, ICC, must bring them to book.

Nigerian army cannot quell Biafra fire with intimidation in this 21st century. The tsunami will continue to sweep across Biafra land until every demonic influence is cast out of the land of the rising sun.

The leader of the indigenous people of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu did prophesy about a time like this during his presentations on Radio Biafra, “they will kill us, maim and dehumanise Biafrans but in the end, Biafra must come.”

IPOB members and other Biafrans should remain resolute and formidable, we are at the penultimate of Biafra restoration struggle and verily the Egyptian we see today we shall see them no more.
