THE AREWA NORTH’S CALL FOR THE RE ARREST OF MAZI NNAMDI KANU THE LEADER OF THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA (IPOB)

As the contraption called Nigeria continues to dance to the beat of the 'Surugede" dance, its inevitable fate is without a doubt sealed and discerning minds are convinced of what the ultimate result will be. Goaded on by certain individuals of northern extraction and the "born to rule" ideologues of the Fulani oligarchy, the geographic expression called Nigeria is headed to one mighty irredeemable fall.

Those that hope to ride on the back of the legitimate demand by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to attempt to secure and guarantee the continued and constant flow of crumbs from their master's table are in for a shock. In this category of leeches is one Paul Unongo who believes that having been made a paper co chairman of the Arewa Northern Elders Forum, he now has the temerity to open his filthy mouth to condemn the Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo for daring to go contrary to the expectation of his slave masters. Mr. Unongo, who is a slave of the Fulanis from Benue State, is telling us that the Arewa youths that committed a clear and indisputable treasonable act when they issued a date for Biafrans living in the North to vacate the north or be massacred and their property destroyed cannot be arrested because according to him the matter has been resolved. Mr. Unongo wants us to believe that the  Fulani youths that released a song and audio recordings calling for the massacre of Biafrans residing in the north should not be arrested because the matter has been resolved? Resolved by who, how, where and when did this resolution take place?  Mr. Unongo is either deceiving himself or he is living behind the times.
Let us not forget that this Paul Unongo is from Benue State which is in the middle belt region. But he left his own people to sell his soul to the devil by accepting to serve the Fulani caliphate in exchange for fame and money. He has been ostracized by his own people and he can never go back to his home land in Benue state.

This man thinks that by doing the dirty work of the Hausa Fulani Oligarchy, the constant slaughtering of his Benue people by the same Hausa Fulani that he serves will come to an end. How very mistaken he is. This Paul Unongo who is always missing in action just like the greatest of the Hausa Fulani slaves Gowon misses in action every time their people are massacred by the Hausa Fulani Janjaweed Herdsmen, believe in his warped mind that everyone will want to remain a willing slave like him. Well for his information we the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by our courageous leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu have made a conscious decision to take our destiny, that of our children and generations unborn into our own hands by shaking off the shackles of oppression that held us down for more than hundred years. Mr. Unongo has, of course, the liberty and right to choose to remain a slave to the Hausa fulani caliphate but he should not expect the Indigenous People of Biafra to agree to remain in servitude with him.

Mr. Unongo and those like him losing sleep because someone has finally decided to stand up to defend his rights and freedom are exhibiting a malady that is a result of envy and jealousy because Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is doing what they are unable to do. These people inhabit a clime that is so uncivilized that civilized ways of dispute settlement are to them an anathema. These bunch of hopelessly lost individuals should be expending their time and energy to ensure that Muhammadu Buhari who is a chronic flouter of decisions of courts of competent jurisdiction is impeached and sent to prison. They should be asking for the arrest of Lawal Daura the SSS thug who is presently in contempt of court of competent jurisdiction which ordered that Mazi Bright Chimezie should be released.  These buffoons calling for the re arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should be demanding that people like Tanko Yakassi and Junaid Mohammed should be arrested for their hateful and inciting statements.  They should ensure that the Nigerian government is compelled to arrest and prosecute the Arewa youths as demanded by the UN for incitement to commit genocide against the Indigenous people of Biafra residing in the Arewa region. The likes of Mr. Unongo and Gowon need to be reminded of what every Hausa Fulani person thinks of them and this thought and mindset are aptly encapsulated in the words of the late Sarduana of Sokoto Alhaji Ahmadu Bello that “The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great-grand father Othman Dan Fodio. We must RUTHLESSLY prevent a change of power. We must use the minorities of the North as willing tools, and the South as conquered territories and never allow them to have control of their future”. That is the life Mr. Unongo has chosen but the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will not be compelled to agree with him hence our legitimate and conscious decision to defend our rights, freedom and values as Indigenous People of Biafra.

We commend the Ohanaeze leadership especially the President General of Ohanaeze Dr. Nnia Nwodo for showing courage and speaking like a Biafran elder. We urge Ohanaeze leadership to continue to be courageous and be rest assured that the Indigenous People of Biafra under the leadership of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will stand with them if they continue to speak in the defence of the dignity, honour and values of the Biafran people.

The Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra under the leadership of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wishes to alert the world community of the setting in motion of a grand plan to turn Biafraland into an open prison as there are plans to deploy huge military personnel and armaments into Biafraland. The plan by the Nigeria government to re-arrest our leader in the hope that such re arrest will halt further agitation by the Indigenous People of Biafra for the restoration of the Sovereign and Independent Biafran Nation.

It is important that the Nigerian authorities are made to understand the dangers inherent in that plan. The government want to provoke violence and use that as an excuse to unleash mayhem on the Biafran people. The international community must be alive to its responsibilities as it concerns Indigenous Peoples rights. This they should do so by urgently putting machinery in place that will allow the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) exercise their right to Self-determination through a UN organized Referendum in Biafran Territories.

We could recall vividly how Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was illegally arrested and detained for close to two years on a trumped-up charge of a treasonable felony but rather than dampen the resolve of Biafrans in agitating for their freedom, rather than discourage Biafrans, his arrest strengthened our determination and resolve to pursue our right to Self-determination. The lack of diligent prosecution of his trial on the part of the Nigerian government is a clear evidence that they have no case against him and were left with no option than to grant him bail albeit with conditions that are desired to take away his fundamental rights and freedoms.

They had hoped to intimidate him into silence but to their disappointment, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu cannot be intimidated. Now the Arewa North very jittery is calling for his re arrest for daring to oppose their hegemonic stranglehold on the contraption called Nigeria which they see as nothing but their grand father’s estate. Our promise to them is that the Indigenous People of Biafra under the leadership of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu shall resist any re-arrest order of our leader even with our blood if need be. Individuals, and groups have advised the Nigerian government on the dangers inherent in its plan to re arrest the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra. It is important that the Nigerian government heed to this reasonable advice from well-meaning individuals and groups.

Signed

Mazi Chika Edoziem
Head of Directorate of the
Indigenous People of Biafra
