'No Referendum, No Election' Still Stands As Ordered By IPOB Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu

Going by the news circulating in different media platforms that the supreme leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has backed down on "No Referendum, No election" order, after meeting with Igbo leaders in Owerri Imo state capital, IPOB, hereby, informs the general
public to disregard the rumour as IPOB still stands on the boycott of Anambra Election if no date is given for Biafra referendum.

The leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, on 18th of August, 2017 held meeting with the Igbo leaders under the aegis of Ala-Igbo International Foundation in Imo State over the November 18th Anambra Governorship Election.

In the meeting, IPOB leader was urged to withdraw his order on election to enable IPOB members to vote for the upcoming election.

But the IPOB leader who has enormous respect for elders told them that he would have to consult the IPOB leadership because the "decision of the people is final".

This means that no decision has been reached concerning whether elections would hold or not as against the report that he (Kanu) has withdrawn his order as claimed by some media reporters, who falsely reported that the leader of the IPOB has given a go-ahead order for Biafrans to vote.

The reporters also reported that the IPOB leader assured Igbo leaders that he would not disrupt the November
18 election in Anambra, saying that no person would ever be molested because IPOB are disciplined people.  He said that Biafrans would only voluntarily boycott the election.

However, to clear the above statement, Nnamdi Kanu has never for one day ordered IPOB to disrupt Anambra election, he has not also ordered IPOB to molest anyone on election day rather he only ordered a sit-at- home exercise, meaning "do not vote on the election day to show that we IPOB are not in support of Nigeria's government; we want Biafra".

The only way to achieve Biafra at this stage of the struggle is to show the world that Biafrans really need Biafra by saying NO to any Nigeria ELECTION, which if observed would hasten the call for a referendum.

Thus, if the answer, "I will consult IPOB leadership" given by the IPOB leader to the Igbo leaders means backing down on the standing order of 'boycott Anambra state election', what then will be the reply of IPOB leadership and her people who have been killed, denied of their birthright; who have faced all kinds of man-inhumanity-to-man treatment, if they are to vote the same government which has perpetrated such ills against them?

I want us to know that the leader of IPOB gave that answer to his elders as a respectful son would to his father when the father seems not to understand the point the son is making, and through the statement, the father will know the answer if he reasons.

So, Biafrans and the general public are hereby informed that the order given by the supreme leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to Boycott Anambra Election remains the same - "No referendum, No election till
Biafra is restored".
