Igbo-Quit-Notice: Katsina Youths Blast Emir, Insist On October 1st Deadline
It is a very rare scenario for a faithful Muslim to go against Emir’s directives or to publicly rebuke a revered Muslim leader. Muslim people hold their leaders to the highest esteem even to an extent of worshipping them like gods.

Things have fallen apart, the centre can no longer hold. On 12th of August 2017, the Katsina State Progressive Youth Alliance insisted that Igbos must leave the North on or before October 1, despite numerous assurances given by the Emir of Katsina, Abdulmimin Usman.

While Speaking at a press conference organised not less than 24 hours after the Emir had reassured the Igbos living in the Northern part of Nigeria that their security is guaranteed, the Secretary General of the group, Abdullahi Marusa, stated that they respect the monarch but there is no going back on the October 1st quit notice deadline.

According to the youths, “Some northerners Like Atiku, Bugaje have clearly shown from their utterances and acts that they don’t believe in the North, as such we see them as opportunists seeking relevance from the ongoing impasse.

“The southerners are allowed to say so many worst statements of threat, intimidation and blackmail, why aren’t they asked to stop?.

“It’s only when the north reacted that they are accused of causing tension,” said Marusa.

To my Igbo brothers and sisters waiting for Emir to save them, it is dead on arrival. These are radical Muslims and for them to defy their leader's order, it is a testament that there is fire on the mountain. The story of the rhetoric ‘Nyamiri’ is likely to repeat itself again.

Igbo adage said: “a stubborn fly always follow corpse to the grave”. It happened in 1945, 1966 and other recorded ethnic cleansing events, Hausa-Fulani will massacre you Igbos living in the North if you don't make hays while the sun shines.

They are applying rules of throwing one's enemy off balance. They want to confuse our people but thank God for exposing them left, right, front and back.

The best thing “we” the IPOB writers will do is to write, write and write so that our people won't be taken into account of October pogrom, we love our people no matter how they are, we need them alive.

We use this opportunity to plead on our Biafran philanthropists to engage in estate development and other relevant ventures that will positively affect the living conditions of our returning brothers, we shouldn't forget our revered Igbo motto that said, “Onuru Ube Nwanne ya agbakwana oso”, meaning “be your brother's keeper”.

May Chukwu Okike protect our brothers and sisters as they heed to our advice and return home on or before October 1st deadline. It is going to be bloody because the illiterate Almajiris do not hear anything less than kill, kill and kill.
