Full Report: Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's Visit To Aba And IPOB Faulks Road Zone-1 Thanksgiving Service

Biafrans gathered in Aba during Nnamdi Kanu's svisit on Sunday, August 27, 2017

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra  (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu stormed Aba, the Enyimba City of Biafra, on Sunday, 27th August, 2017.

He was hosted by IPOB Faulks Road Zone 1, Aba at BTC (Boys Technical College) Aba.

IPOB Faulks Road Zone 1 Aba, yesterday, Sunday, 27th August, 2017, held a Thanksgiving Service at St. Augustine's Anglican Church, Aba, in gratitude to God, first, for the Restoration of Biafra Championed by IPOB and led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu; secondly, for the release of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, from unlawful detention; thirdly, for the release of some of their core members arrested during their rallies and unlawfully detained; and lastly for the grace of God that has kept them safe in their zone as they have not recorded any  casualty since the Nigerian security operatives turned IPOB events to their practice time and moments of shooting exercise.

After the Thanksgiving Service at the said church, the IPOB members stormed the reception venue, BTC, Faulks Road Aba.

And the leader of IPOB appeared at the venue by 11:00AM with crowds of Biafrans, both IPOB and non-IPOB members, welcoming him and his entourage with great ecstasy.

Different IPOB zones were fully positioned with their leaders at the venue. And the IPOB leader, with his personal securities dressed in Black circling him, mounted the podium decorated with Biafra colours.

The IPOB leader went on to hail the crowd with IPOB greeting: "IPOB!", and the crowd chanted, "One Family".

In his speech, he spoke on the issue of restructuring Nigeria, of which he was accused of by Professor Ben Nwabueze to have resorted to if progress is made on it.

The IPOB leader asked“...are we doing restructuring of Nigeria now?" And the crowd chanted, "NO!".

"Are we doing fiscal federalism?" And the crowd answered, "NO!"

Are we doing devolution? And the crowd answered, "NO!"

"What do we want?" And the crowd chanted emphatically, "Biafra!"

Also, concerning the federal government of Nigeria processing his rearrest, the IPOB leader warned them of inevitable danger of death that awaits such people should they try to come to arrest him in his fatherland, Biafra; but the leader did not tell his audience how he plans to achieve that, whether spiritually - invoking the spirits of Biafra Fallen Heroes to fight them; or physically - using the newly formed Biafra Security Service, BSS, to fight his enemies.

But from the analysis on the table of IPOB Writers, this battle may be more spiritual than physically, because IPOB leadership had said that the inaugurated BSS is not meant to fight the federal government of Nigeria rather a form of defense for the people of Biafra against some sects like Hausa-Fulani Herdsmen; just as other regions in the country have.

Meanwhile, after addressing the crowd, Biafrans responded with great shout, hailing, cheering and chanting the different names Nnamdi Kanu is called, like Ohamadike, Supreme Leader, Nwachineke etc. And they escorted him to Osisioma as he journeyed to his hometown, Umuahia.

The full speech of the IPOB leader is below:

"IPOB! IPOB! IPOB!"

“Where we are, is Biafra Land. Aba is the spiritual capital of Biafra land. We started in Aba in 2015 at CKC (Christ the King Catholic Cathedral),” Kanu said.

“That day, heaven authenticated our move that IPOB will restore Biafra and that’s what we’ve come to do. We died in Aba; at National High School.

“They shot and killed us in other places in Biafra land when they were protesting for my release. As our people rest in the grave, we’ll never rest until Biafra is restored. I don’t care what they say in Abuja. I don’t care what they say in Lagos.

“I’m a Biafran and we are going to crumble the zoo. Some idiots who are not educated said that they’ll arrest me, and I ask them to come. I’m in Biafra land. If any of them leaves Biafra land alive know that this is not IPOB. Tell them that’s what I said.

“Tell Buhari that I’m in Aba and any person who comes to arrest Nnamdi Kanu in Biafra land will die here. I’ll never go on exile I assure you.

“Some people talk about restructuring, are we doing restructuring of Nigeria now? Are we doing fiscal federalism? Are we doing devolution? What we want is Biafra!

“Forget all the nonsense they write about us. We are not slowing down and no man born of a woman can stop us.

“They thought we are joking and God gave us a simple message that no one can stop us. The movement to restore Biafra is unstoppable.

“The message of heaven is what I bring to you. Don’t be afraid. The plans of our enemies are not going to be actualized. The enemies are planning, but we are formidable.

“We are going to boycott Anambra state election. After Anambra 2017, in 2019, there’ll be no elections in Biafra land. Signed and sealed. My message is that there’ll not be elections in Biafra land ever again until they give us a date for referendum"
