Biafra: Arewa Youths Dancing Surugede In Abuja
Biafra: Arewa Youths Dancing Surugede In Abuja
Arewa Youth Forum |
As IPOB and her leadership are very busy sensitizing the entire Biafran families for the upcoming Biafran referendum, Arewa youths are busy dancing Surugede (songs of the spirit) in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.
On 9th of August, 2017 the members of Arewa youths staged a protest demanding that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should be re-arrested. It was also reported that they also demanded that Kanu should be assassinated in any possible means.
The masses were shocked to see the Nigerian police that have been molesting peaceful protesters both in Abuja and other parts of Nigeria become escort following Arewa Youths during their protest. It was gathered that police also wanted to host and buy them drinks after the protest but relegated due to the fear of implicating themselves.
On that demonstration, Arewa youths were seen carrying placards with inscriptions “Nigeria’s Unity Non-Negotiable” and “Arrest Nnamdi Kanu Now”.
As they (Arewa youths) continue to dance Surugede dance, confusion shall be their daily manna. As they continue on this show of shame, every one of them will continue to experience mental trauma.
To prove to you that these Northern youths have gone totally insane, how can the same people who issued an ultimatum for Igbos living in the Northern part of Nigeria to vacate the region on or before October 1st, 2017, go ahead to stage a protest campaigning for Nigeria’s unity? Is there any correlation between "vacate my land" and "Nigeria must be one"?
As some of us do ask: who bewitched Northern youths? I was thinking it was only in Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo that we have confused lots, I never knew there was a greater one coming to take the lead from Ohaneze.
At this rate of incoherence, we may consider taking into consideration the impact of drinking raw cow milk; it contains a higher proportion of animal hormones and those hormones can create a significant impact on human behaviour. Those unprocessed cow milk must have a direct influence in Arewa youths’ behaviour and with this evidence, we may not expect them to act normal.
These youths calling for Kanu’s re-arrest were the same people that threatened a whole Igbo race and got away with it. The Nigerian government looked south while these rude youths continued to dance Surugede dance.
Like Igbo people normally say, “a masquerade whose flute blower (onye n’ egbu oja) is a woman will never know when he jumps fairy’s fence” and also “a child whose father sent to steal will ever use leg to break the door of his victim”. Arewa youths are enjoying the backup of the Nigerian government and their elders. They preach message that is very pleasing to the ears of the Nigerian government.
Arewa youths have security backups: DSS, Military, Police, Airforce and Navy are there to protect them when they issue statements and protest. Police will ever romance them with softer hands.
Had it been that the protest was carried out by IPOB, by now you would have been told how many killed and how many injured.
The lopsidedness in the Nigerian system is not something to write home about, it has benefited the north to the detriment of the other people. Arewa youths have considered losing the status quo in the emergence of Biafra and resorted in dancing naked in the market.
For our people said: “A child who dances Surugede doesn't know that surugede is a dance for the spirits”.
Surugede dance is a song of the spirit and anyone who wishes to dance to its tunes must be prepared because its beat is an irregular type but with a sweet melody. Arewa youths must continue to dance in irregular style until they are finally demolished.
The world is currently waiting for their October 1st quit notice, it is either they carry out their plans or remain silent forever.
Dancing an irregular beat of Surugede will never stop IPOB from leading Biafrans to the Promised Land of Biafra. It will never deter the courage of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu neither will it stop Uche Mefor from championing Biafra restoration campaign on Radio Biafra London.
The Arewa Youths’ show of shame will never stop the spirit of IPOB members all over the world, it can not create any negative impact in family gathering.
When Arewa youths become aware of what has befallen them, they would cry like Governor Willie Obiano who is currently weeping for having acknowledged that there won't be any election in Anambra state come Nov 18th, 2017 unless the Nigerian government fixes a date for Biafra referendum.
May Arewa youths continue to dance Surugede until Biafra is restored.
