Why Igbo Leaders Against Biafra Restoration Shall Perish

Arise Biafrans, Your Prayers Have Been Answered!

But I shall initiate this piece with the biblical account of the deliverance of Israel from the hands of Egyptians as recorded in the book of Exodus 12:29 – 12:39

12:29 It happened at midnight – the Lord attacked all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the prison, and all the firstborn of the cattle. 12:30 Pharaoh got up in the night, along with all his servants and all Egypt, and there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was no house in which there was not someone dead. 12:31 Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aron in the night and said, “Get up, get out from among my people, both you and the Israelites! Go, serve the Lord as you have requested! 12:32 Also, take your flocks and your herds, just as you have requested, and leave. But bless me also”

12:33 The Egyptians were urging the people on, in order to send them out of the land quickly, for they were saying, “We are all dead!”  … 12:37 The Israelites journeyed from Rameses to Sukkoth. They were about 600, 000 men on foot, plus their dependants. 12:38 A mixed multitude also went up with them, and flocks and herds – a very large number of cattle. 12:39 They baked cakes of bread without yeast using the dough they had brought from Egypt, for it was made without yeast – because they were thrust out of Egypt and were not able to delay, they could not prepare food for themselves either”

It happened that with the connivance of Great Britain, Nigeria had taken us hostage since 1914. The children of the Most High had been kept against their will in a marriage of the most gruesome inconvenience ever in the history of Africa. We have complained, protested, called on world authorities and Nigerian authorities to let us go. For one hundred years plus, we have fought the good fight for freedom. We applied our human strength and wisdom and between 1967 and 1970, they came after us. They wiped out over 3.5 million of our people because they feared we were growing in wisdom and strength. They raped our wives, daughters and slit-off heads of our men and youths.

They seized our properties and declared them abandoned properties. They withheld our monies and gave us paltry Twenty pounds, no matter how much millions we had. They starved us and infested our children with kwashiorkor.  They attempted to annihilate the children of the Almighty. They celebrated over our fall, but we refused to be out. Now we have suddenly remembered our God, the God of Israel. We have cried unto Him and Him alone. Today, we have been given a new leader in the name of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. He is the Prince of Biafra from Afara Kingdom. Certainly, there is a something about him which is his covenant with the Most High God. Like Moses, he has come to lead us out of Nigeria.

Unfortunately, many Biafrans are still spiritually blind and grumblings have become their lots. Their eyes are only open to the fact that their troubles are great in Nigeria, but closed to believing and trusting Nnamdi Kanu as the leader that would lead them out of Nigeria. They have been made to forget that right from the days of old, God had always used the little and unknown for His mighty jobs. They have forgotten the younger Joseph, the stammering Moses, the hunter David, the “weak” Esther and even the little Jesus. They have been querying the antecedents of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. They call him “That Small Boy”, “Miscreant”, “Ragtag”. Recently, the Nigeria Government officials explained that Nnamdi Kanu was not invited to their meeting with Igbo leaders because they did not consider him as a leader. How foolish and blind the God of Israel has made these people!

They have never paused to wonder the following: how come without arms and war arsenals, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been able to pass the serious message about Biafra to both the world and Nigeria? How come this “Small Boy” has been able to raise Igbo consciousness for unity and propelled the world of Biafra to its present level? How come for the first time in 50 years Biafra was discussed in Nigeria and by Nigerians at the Shehu Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja the Nigerian capital and sponsored by major international organizations? How come today that the mention of Biafra has become like the release of army of bees against our enemies? How come the Nigerian security agents are hell bent on silencing Biafran peaceful and armless protesters as against deadly Boko Haram and Militants? How come Biafra has become the next thing discussed all over the world and by world leaders? How come today, even our captors are the ones begging us to leave their land in peace?

Like the Israelites, our captors have asked us to leave their land; “just go, we are tired of you. Leave our land in peace!” They have even called us names. They said we are the problems of the land. We are fraudsters, kidnappers, drug traffickers, ritualists, etc. They had even called us creators of Boko Haram. Who knows, we might also be reasons their Presidents die in offices. We are the cause of poverty and illiteracy in their land. They said we are today the reasons the country is not moving forward even when we are the veins that run through the fabrics of the former united Nigerian nation. This is simple.Aka Chukwu no ya! And that is why anyone standing against God’s will must die.

Unfortunately, while our captors are now tired of keeping us; while our captors are coming together under various Arewa Forums begging us to leave and go in peace, some shameless and self-acclaimed Igbo leaders are busy grumbling, meeting with the Nigeria Vice President Osinbajo and preaching “One Nigeria”. This was how they shouted to Moses “please take us back to Egypt”. But we hoot and lough at them because the thunder waiting to strike them dead is standing by and warming up. Any Igbo leader still begging to remain in this useless contraption called Nigeria rather than helping in designing our dream Biafra is a traitor and saboteur. Under our present leadership, these people have no place in the land of Biafra.

While I appreciate the Arewa Youths in their various calls through press statements and addresses urging Biafrans on and begging us to leave their land peacefully, I wish to add that ihe anyi na-acho n’elu abiakwutego anyi n’ala. This is the time for Biafran leaders and all ethnic nationalities to now join forces with IPOB promoters and discuss terms for their Biafra co-existence. This is time to drop our differences and discuss our common identity and freedom.

What else are we looking for? Is this not exactly why we went to war?  Is this not why we have been agitating and shouting marginalization? Is this not what we have been struggling for? Now that they have asked us to take it, why then are we fidgeting? Why are we now reluctant? We must remember that Israelites left even without preparing their foods. But we have been given three months. We have no more excuses to give. It is time to end it all. Thank you, Arewa Youths. Thank you our “Masters”. Thank you, Nigeria.

I am for United Biafra!!!
