Nnamdi Kanu's Statue Raised in Umuahia with "Broken Chains" as a Sign of Freedom
Mr. Okwuchukwu Sylvester Njoku, a sculptor and a member of the Indigenous People of Biafra from Ochii Ogwa Mbatoli local government of Imo state alongside his colleagues made a sculpture of their leader Nnamdi Kanu.
The sculpture presented to Kanu was unveiled right in his compound at Isiama Afaraukwu Ibekwu, in Umuahia, Abia state.
The IPOB leader who was present with his parents His Royal Highness (Eze & Lolo) Israel Okwu Kanu, welcomed Njoku and his crew, he also was very happy to see the magnificent statue of himself which was coincidentally in the same outfit as him at that particular moment.
The statue had both hands raised with remnants of broken chains and a Biafran flag in the right hand, depicting victory and sign of freedom for the Biafran people.
Excited Kanu happily requested to be photographed as he stood beside the statue. The controversial IPOB leader looking at the broken chains on the hands of the sculpture said “The chain is broken, no wonder the Hausa/Fulani are saying the Igbos can go.
