Prophet TB Joshua

The Nigeria’s social media community is currently buzzing over the last week’s prophecy by the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet TB Joshua on the just-concluded US presidential election.

The Prophet, as the Ikotun-based prophet is called, had in a prophecy released last week claimed that he saw a woman winning the election.

In the prophecy posted on his social media page, Joshua said the ‘woman’ would win but would face an uphill task in passing bills.

Joshua has said, “Ten days ago, I saw the new President of America with a narrow win. The new President will be facing several challenges over many issues, including passing bills, attempts to possibly pass a vote of no confidence on the new President. The boat of the new President will be rocked. By the way, in order not to keep you in suspense, what I frankly saw is a woman.”

However, Trump won defeated Clinton in key swing states of Florida, North Carolina and Ohio early this morning, putting him on a clear path to the White House against the expectations of many pundits and observers in Florida, where Hillary Clinton had been expected to win.

With the outcome of the result, the prophecy has hit the cross bar, leaving many people in confusion if the prophet truly heard from God.

Reacting to the development, a social media activist, Akom Akom said the outcome of the result shows that some men of God need to review their calling.

“Am I dreaming? Trump leading Clinton? But I thought our prophet said the Democrats candidate would win? This shows that some men of God were not called. I am ashamed,” he said.

Another activist, Seun Ladoke said the prophet has not only goofed but disgraced Christianity.

“The man of God just proved to us that he is not what he wants us to believe he is. He just disgraced Christendom. I am yet to believe his prophecy just missed the target.”

On his part, Apeh Peter said it is either the man of God did not hear well or spoke from a human angle.

“The last time I checked, God cannot lie and has never lie. I am sure the prophet only spoke from a human angle and not the mind of God. My God cannot lie,” he tweeted.

Another @aunty_ifeoma tweeted, “I sincerely wish prophet TB Joshua’s prediction comes true oo. He said he saw a woman Abi is Trump, a woman?”

On one part, former Jonathan’s aide, Reno Omokri ‏@renoomokri said, “Dear TB Joshua. Who gave you your prophecy? My God is not a man that He would lie neither is He the son of man that He would repent!”
