Sit-At-Home, An IPOB Event Ordered By Nnamdi Kanu While Still In Prison

Contrary to the misinformation from the Nigerian media linking MASSOB to the Sit-At-Home Order given by Nnamdi Kanu, Biafra Heroes Remembrance Day is Nnamdi Kanu's ideology, not Uchenna Madu's nor Ralph Uwazuruike's.

There was nothing like 30th May Biafra-Fallen-Heroes Remembrance Day until Nnamdi Kanu initiated it in 2015.

And since then the 30th May has been sacrosanctly set apart for the veneration of Biafra's Fallen Heroes.

On 30th May, 2015, Nnamdi Kanu stormed CKC Aba, Abia State in Biafran land for observance of the Heroes Day.

On that historic day, crowds from different parts of Biafra trooped in to especially see the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who's the New face of the Biafran struggle, live and direct, and to honour Biafran Fallen Heroes.

At that time President Buhari was a-day-old president and, therefore, could not do anything against the Biafran leader because security operatives were on ground but could not do much to disrupt activities as they would have done if Buhari was well informed and stablised on seat.

On 30th May, 2016, the commemoration was ordered by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu(then in prison) to be observed at Nkpor, Anambra state but President Buhari sent his trigger-happy soldiers to shoot live bullets on Biafrans right from the eve of the Remembrance Day to the day itself.

Many Biafrans were killed, badly injured and buried in mass graves in some army barracks, and Amnesty International confirmed that fleeing people were shot at the back and, therefore, raised alarm against the brutality of the Nigerian military on pro-Biafran activists who posed no threat to anyone.

Notwithstanding the killing of Biafrans from 29th May, 2016, the occasion was held with some prominent priests in attendance.

On this year's Remembrance Day, having seen how his people were massacred on the previous year's commemoration, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, right from prison, ordered a complete shutdown of Biafran land on this 30th May Biafra Heroes Remembrance Day. And the ordered was obeyed by Biafrans to the minimum of 95%.

But the order did not come without opposition from Uwazuruike-led MASSOB as he told Biafrans to disregard IPOB order of Sit-At-Home.

Uwazuruike had never thought of remembering Biafra's Independence nor the Fallen Heroes since he started deceiving unsuspecting gullible Biafrans, claiming he's fighting for their freedom, until this year when he saw that the independence day celebration was making news among people.

But then, instead of respecting the former leader of the Biafran struggle, Late Odumegwu Ojukwu, and those who fought with him, by at least allowing the Remembrance happen on 30th May, he chose 22nd of May, in order to frustrate IPOB's 30th May. But thanks to Chukwu-Okike Abiama that Biafrans know who their leader is and have followed his order.

Therefore, indisputably, Nnamdi Kanu is the true Biafra's Leader who has brought forth Biafra, which was in oblivion, to be the most discussed topic in the world. And he is the idea behind the Sit-At-Home form of remembering Biafran Fallen Heroes and Heroines, hence should not be reported by compromised media as MASSOB activity.
