Sir,
Let The Change Begin With You: Release Nnamdi Kanu As Ordered By Justice Adeniyi Ademola
With the launching of this campaign, "Change Begins With Me", many people around the world are watching earnestly to see how sincere you are with this campaign. They are watching eagerly to see whether this #ChangeBeginsWithMe campaign you launched would actually begin with you, Mr. President.
In their eagerness, they want to give you the benefit of the doubt to see how determined and changed you are to be the first to drive, propel and lead this campaign by examples.
During your campaign for the election of 2015, your slogan was "CHANGE" and you won the election partly because Nigerians gave you the benefit of the doubt by voting to see how you have changed.
In your campaign with so much campaign promises, you pinpointed the areas you saw lapses and how fast you would work to fix them. But unfortunately, the reverse is the case.
You promised millions of jobs for the teeming youths and appropriations of the economy and wealth in Nigeria to show in the lives of the citizenry.
Similarly, in your Oath Taking, during your swearing in, you swore to uphold the rule of law.
You swore to abide by the tenets of democracy being a "converted democrat". But disappointedly, you slid back to dictatorship. You gradually started showing contempt to courts' orders.
On 14th October 2015 you ordered the arrest of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu who is championing the course of the restoration of his fatherland, Biafra.
And slammed him with frivolous charges and courts of competent jurisdictions granted him bail but you refused to release him which is a proof of your 'sliding back to dictatorship'.
Mr. President, the order of the competent judge, Justice Adeniyi Ademola, from a court of jurisdiction in the Federal Republic of Nigeria to release Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally is still subsisting hence you can prove your sincerity in the campaign you launched by obeying the order.
Once you do that, it shows your determination to change the mindset of Nigerians because most of them have this opinion of you "Muhamadu Buhari is like a leopard that cannot change its spots no matter how hard it tries!" Mr. President, I challenge You to prove those you are ruling in Nigeria and the world at large wrong by doing away with your pride, this time around and release Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally and all others agitating for a sovereign state of Biafra being held in your gulag.
Remember in your speech while launching the campaign you said: "Every one of us must have a change from our old ways of doing things, we cannot fold our arms and allow things to continue the old way."
And recently, a US congressman, wrote to ask Secretary of States of United States of America, to stop military support to Nigeria because of your sliding back to dictatorial tendencies, hence it would not be out of place to ask or advise you to change your old ways of dictatorial tendencies in order to achieve your determination to change Nigeria and Nigerians.
So Mr. President, let this change begin with you sir by obeying the subsisting order of Justice Adeniyi Ademola and release Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally.
Thank you.
