John Kerry, the Secretary of State of United States of America is expected to arrive Nigeria, precisely on August 23 for an official meeting with Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari, Governors in the Northern part of Nigeria, as well as some elite politicians and religious leaders in the country.

U.S Embassy in Nigeria had on Friday issued a statement through its Information Office in Abuja, stating that the Secretary of State has already concluded plans to launch a two-day visit to the country which is expected to kick-start on August 23 through 24.

According to the statement, the purpose of the visit is to set up a highly important State House meeting with President Buhari on the contribution of the United States government towards rectifying the numerous factors that have left the security and structure of Nigeria in a very porous state; these include- the insurgency of Boko Haram, religious violence and inter-ethnic chaos, the activities of Biafran/Niger Delta freedom fighters, Buhari's corruption war and also the increasing rate of human rights abuses in the country. They are also expected to discuss the various ways the U.S government can partner Nigeria to save her from the economic horrors of recession.

"Kerry will meet with President Muhammadu Buhari to discuss counter-terrorism efforts, the Nigerian economy, the fight against corruption and human rights issues," the statement reads.

Going further it said, "In Sokoto, he will deliver a speech on the importance of resilient communities and religious tolerance in countering violent extremism.
"In Abuja, the Secretary will meet with a group of adolescent girls working to change community perceptions that devalue the role of girls in the society.

"He will also meet with Northern governors and religious leaders."

Meanwhile, a reliable source has disclosed to Family Writers that there has been an increased pressure from world powers and ally countries of Nigeria, who are already certain that Nigeria will collapse, enabling the restoration of independent nations that were amalgamated into it in 1914.

The source also revealed that the international community and human rights organisations are mounting intense pressures on President Buhari to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and the Director of Radio Biafra, as well as other incarcerated Biafran activists in the country.

"There is an increased pressure from the international community to release Kanu," the source said.

"Also, remember the US government had already warned that the possibility of Nigeria break-up even after the 2015 elections is still very high.

"The emergence of Niger Delta Avengers and the unrelenting mode of IPOB, as well as the ethnic and religious instability that has ravaged the country recently has already given credence to this anticipation. This is one of the major reasons why John Kerry is coming," the source stated.
