In December 2015 during his first funny presidential media chat, Muhammadu Buhari reacting to the protest by Biafrans for the independent state of Biafra said this; “The Igbo should explain what they mean by marginalization.
Who is marginalizing them? I contested and won my election and I appointed the right people into my government...."
This is another way of saying I owe Igbos nothing. Also, on the 21st of November 2015, about a month before his media chat, Buhari who was represented by the Minister of State for Education, Prof Anthony Onwuka, during the investiture of the Obi of Onitsha, Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe, as the 7th Chancellor of the Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Zaria, said the actions of some people agitating for dismemberment of the country would be surmounted.
His words: “I therefore sound a note of serious warning that the corporate existence of Nigeria as a single entity is not a subject of debate and will not be compromised..."
