Biafra: Buhari Demolishes Ohaneze With Northern SGF Appointment
The outdated Igbo social-cultural organisation, Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo has been disgraced by the recent appointment of Boss Gida Mustapha as the new SGF of Nigeria.
The appointment came as a shock to Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo who has been visiting Abuja without invitation. Ohaneze; having betrayed their own people were seen hustling for the post of secretary general of the federation but were visited with an uppercut by Buhari's cabal.
Recall that Ohaneze held meeting with Buhari on October 13th, 2017 where Buhari congratulated Nnia Nwodo, the leader of the group for responding positively with south-east governors to proscribe IPOB. Buhari also promised to appoint a member of Ohaneze as new SGF.
It was with total disappointment that Buhari appointed his northern brother as the new SGF and throw Ohaneze members to the wastebasket. Buhari did not consider the sacrifice Ohaneze made to make sure IPOB were proscribed.
Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo through its leader, Chief John Nnia Nwodo in a statement this morning frowned at the development. “We had thought that the recent meeting of South East leaders with the President at the Aso Rock Villa opened an avenue for a new relationship with the zone which appointing an SGF from the area would have helped to cement especially as the ruling party originally zoned the position to the region.
