Apo Six: South-east Leaders Watch Helplessly As Buhari's Govt Reinstate Policeman Who Murdered Six Igbo Traders In Abuja

The acclaimed leaders of the south-east geopolitical zone are yet to take strong action against the federal government of Nigeria for reinstating the policeman who murdered six Igbo traders in an extrajudicial manner. The report filled in yesterday that IG of police reinstated the killer with impunity.

Recall that on June 7, 2005, the victims of ‘Apo 6’; Ekene Isaac Mgbe, Ifeanyi Ozor, Chinedu Meniru, Paulinus Ogbonna, Anthony Nwokike, and Augustina Arebu, were returning from a nightclub when they were stopped at a police checkpoint and extra-judicially murdered by a contingent of policemen led by Danjuma Ibrahim.

Danjuma Ibrahim was the senior officer who gave the order to kill the traders and his team executed as he commands.

Twelve years later the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris Kpotum reinstated the criminal murderer. The reinstatement of Danjuma Ibrahim triggered public condemnation. Some social media Activists immediately launched a hashtag that says “#IgboLivesMatter”.

The masses are still surprised that no Igbo leader has gathered the courage to take a strong stand against the Nigerian government. Water has seemed to have swallowed Igbo Governors and Senators.

The only thing said by Ohaneze leader, Chief John Nnia Nwodo is that this kind of injustice happening in Nigeria is what's propelling Biafra agitations.

John Nnia Nwodo knows that injustices against Biafrans are what is driving Biafra agitations then why did he join the federal government of Nigeria to eliminate Nnamdi Kanu; the only vocal voice of Ndi-Igbo and Biafrans at large?

If Nnamdi Kanu were still on the stage, I believe that federal government of Nigeria would have looked before they leap. They would have known that whatever judgement they passed in the dark would be challenged by Nnamdi Kanu during the day.

It is unfortunate that South-east leaders are watching helplessly while things go worst. Ohaneze sold Kanu for the post of SGF that never materialise. South-east Governors sold Kanu for a re-election bid. South-east Senators sold Kanu to be in the good book of patriotic Nigerians.

The hour has come to know who's a leader, and unfortunately, that gap created by Nnamdi Kanu hasn't been filled by anybody. Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo and her co-acclaimed leaders are bunches of failures. Nnamdi Kanu where art thou? We are in need of you now. Tears couldn't allow me to continue, I got to stop here.
