Disturbing Report: Scores Feared Dead As A Keke Driver Refuses To Be Extorted By Army Officers Watch (Video)

LIVE BULLETS RAINED INTENTIONALLY ON INNOCENT PEOPLE BY THE NIGERIAN SOLDIERS

Several people are feared dead as the squad of the Nigerian Army at Isi Gate, Umuahia, the capital of Abia state, clashed with a tricycle driver.

According to the report on IPOB Writers desk, the incident took place at the evening hours of Monday, 4th of September, 2017, when a tricycle (keke) driver refused to be extorted by the armed soldiers.

According to an eye witness report, "The soldiers stopped the keke driver and demanded "settlement" money from him but the keke driver refused.

"Meanwhile, the keke driver had a Biafran flag in his keke. As the driver refused, the soldier asked him what that flag was doing in his keke.

"The keke driver answered him that he was a Biafran.

"The soldiers, because of the driver's refusal to settle him, seized him and his keke alongside other keke drivers stopped for extortion.

"The soldier slapped the driver severally to the point of retaliation. Passers-by crowded the area.

"As tension grew in the area, the soldiers who were present called for reinforcement and more troops joined them immediately.

"They asked the keke driver to remove the Biafran flag but he refused.

"They shot the guy and dragged him to their barrack.

"As fellow Biafrans started flooding the area, the army started shooting sporadically and many people were seriously injured."

As at the time of filing this report, the number of people injured could not be ascertained.

Meanwhile, the keke driver and two others were taken by the army at press time were nowhere to be found, leading to the conclusion by some observers that those people would have been shot dead.

"If they(soldiers) say that they did not shoot anybody dead, let them produce those guys they dragged to their station and we'll believe them", one of the eyewitnesses said.

Also, IPOB Writers learned that people who have been provoked by such brutality were forced set some tyres ablaze to signify their anger, and some have gone to carry weapons like cutlasses insisting that they must retaliate and defend themselves since those saddled with the responsibility of securing them are the ones brutalizing them.

This incident is coming up at a time when the Nigeria's Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, Army Chief of Staff, Tukur Buratai and others are facing international investigation on the use of force against pro-Biafran activists.

And "with this current event, Buratai has more case to answer", one of the IPOB members posited.
