Biafra: [Press Release] Another Army Invasion And Genocide Against Biafrans At Nnamdi Kanu's House 

Yesterday, Thursday 14th, 2017, over 120 soldiers of the Hausa-Fulani extraction in the Nigeria Army stormed the house of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and started shooting sporadically at the armless youths, women, and men gathered in Kanu’s compound.

They shot live bullets, ammunitions and tear gassed all around the house. At the end of their exercise which lasted for over two hours beginning from around 3.00pm-5.00pm, over 22 armless men and women were killed in the compound.

They came with their lorries, gathered the dead bodies and left. As it is at this very hour of this report, men of the Nigeria Army have also taken over the Afara-Ukwu peaceful Community where our leader hails from using unknown men with guns and heavy ammunitions at strategic points in the Community raping their girls and women as well as slaughtering their young.

As at the time of writing this report, the whereabouts of the parents of the IPOB leader, Eze Israel Kanu & Ugoeze Kanu, are unknown and are believed to have been abducted by the Nigeria Army.

Also, Family Writers National leader, Mazi Somto Okonkwo who reportedly collapsed inside the house of the IPOB leader due to scores of tear gas canisters fired into the apartment of the IPOB leader was abducted alongside many IPOB security men and women.

This is the third attack in a week by the Nigeria Army against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his armless group. It should be noted that IPOB as an organized, none - violent organization has been continuously provoked by the Hausa-Fulani dominated Nigeria Army but we have maintained restrained and caution.

Self-determination everywhere in the world is legal. The use of brute force against an armless group of people amounts to genocide.

The Biafrans have been regularly massacred by the Nigeria Army in a what seemed like an ethnic cleansing operation since the past 50 years with the world simply watching.

We want to bring what is happening today in Biafraland to the attention of the world. We appeal to the United Nations, US, Israel and all member countries of the UN Security Council to come to the aide of Biafrans and save them before they are completely annihilated from the face of the earth.

The Nigeria government with its agents should end today the GENOCIDE systematically meted on Biafrans. The Nigeria Army should leave our region as we are peace LOVING people.

We reiterate our commitment to a peaceful agitation for the restoration of an Independent State of Biafra.
